history

As an absolute pioneer for this grape variety in South Africa, Beaumont produced the country's first pure Mourvedre here in 1999, this grape variety was originally planted as the basic wine for the flagship red wine blend "Vitruvian". In addition, this fascinating wine is produced here in small quantities year after year (approx. 2,400 bottles) bottled as a single variety.

taste description

Spontaneously fermented in open concrete fermentation tanks, it is aged in used French for 36 months. oak matured. There is nothing better than a grilled T-bone steak.
